Daire O’Shea is a materialist sculptor and writer based in Cork. He graduated in 2016 with a BA in Sculpture from LSAD, following this in 2017 with an MA in Modern and Contemporary Art History and Theory from UCC. Post studies, Daire lectured in the art history department of UCC.  He has exhibited sculptures all across Ireland and in the UK for the past decade and his work mainly concerns Object Oriented Ontology, language and the strange relationship between people and inanimate objects. He is also a freelance writer who has published articles on subjects including art history, philosophy and custom motorcycle building.
